At present, the commonly used advanced oxidation treatment method mainly includes Fenton and Fenton-like oxidation method and ozone-like oxidation method.


1)Ozone oxidation method

Ozone oxidation method, including UV/O3, H2O2/O3, UV/H2O2/O3 and other combined technologies to improve the oxidation rate and efficiency, but due to the low solubility of ozone in water, low utilization rate of ozone, low ozone production rate, energy consumption and other constraints known as the application of ozone-based oxidation technology; and for Fenton method or Fenton-like method, is in acidic conditions hydrogen peroxide in the catalyst iron (II) salt or transition metals, generating hydroxyl radicals (-OH) with strong oxidizing ability, whose oxidizing ability exceeds that of superoxide (-O 2-), or ozone (O3), which is the most oxidizing among reactive oxygen species, and is widely used in wastewater treatment with complex composition.

2)Fenton oxidation

Fenton oxidation is a wastewater treatment method that uses Fe2+ as a catalyst and H2O2 for chemical oxidation under pH=2-5 conditions. The system composed of Fe2+/H2O2 is called Fenton's reagent. The reaction mechanism is that Fe2+ and Fe3+ react with H2O2 to generate strong oxidizing hydroxyl radicals, which generate organic radicals with hard-to-degrade organic matter in aqueous solution to destroy its structure and finally achieve oxidative decomposition.
